The Gallery Page
A photograph is a wonderful means of freezing those fantastic moments forever. The joy of watching travel photographs from mountains to beaches and everything in between can liven up the dullest of the dull day. As a kid, I was fascinated with the film camera. Years later on a trip to Ooty got to shoot travel images on a digital point-and-shoot camera, a point in time where mobile phone camera was gaining prominence, a revolution that bought travel photography on fingertips, always on and ready to click.
The camera lens captured beautiful moments during the solo travels of the past five years across the Indian states of Uttarakhand, Himachal, Goa, Rajasthan, Karnataka, Maharashtra, and Gujarat. Initial days, it was all about the composition, later on, I was drawn to the art of photography. With the world coming to a grinding halt in early 2020 due to the worst COVID-19 pandemic, I started investing time (that would've gone to travelling) honing photography skills. Towards the end of 2020, I quit the lucrative corporate career of 12.5 years to transition into a Travel and Landscape Photographer.
At the very beginning of 2021, I bought myself a new camera called Nikon Z7. The full-frame mirrorless camera happens to be my first professional camera. The intent was clear, get the travel moments personified. The Gallery page on the website is a digital diary of my travel through the Indian subcontinent and the evolving journey of a hobbyist travel photographer transitioning to a professional landscape photographer.
